DataCamp Vienna – Spring Edition

IoT Vienna, Austrian Big Data Forum and Vienna Data Science Group are doing a joint DataCamp event on 30 May 2017. OCG will host this great community event (Wollzeile 1, 1010 Wien, map). A DataCamp is an open Barcamp Event with short Lightning Talks and long discussions about your topics.

After the Lightning Talks, we will gather for Open Space discussions around different Big Data Topics. We have 3 rooms, so we will have 3 individual tracks.

Here is a glimpse of the Agenda, most of it is open (and will stay open, which is the purpose of this event :)). The lightning talks will be fixed soon.

Agenda:

15:00-15:10  Welcome and Introduction (Mario Meir-Huber)
15:10-15:20   Data Science and its impact on society – Wolfgang Weidinger, Chairperson – Vienna Data Science Group
15:20-15:30  Running Hadoop at high scale – Florian Mader, Technical Evangelist – Microsoft
15:30-15:40  Structured Streaming with Spark – Zoltan Toth, Databricks
