we are proudly announcing our 13th Knowledegfeed. For those of you joining us for the first time, a short description below.
During these sessions we are inviting specialists presenting their hands-on experience, current project or simply ideas regarding topics related to our field of interest (the reason for this rather wide description is based on the wide scope of data-science itself… ;-)). Furthermore this gives you the opportunity to ask our lecturer of the evening questions, discuss your ideas and of course enjoy a beer in company of some interesting folks!
In addition please do not hesitate to present your own projects, ideas or thoughts…we are more than gladly sharing the stage with you! Please refer to our last blog-post / Discussion entry for further details.
This evening we will have following talks:
Title: Data-Science and CRM
Description: An introduction on how data-science is currently used for CRM (Customer Relationship Management) in the context of a banking-environment.
Duration: about 15min
Powered by: Peter Koglmann studied Physics at the University of Vienna and is currently working as a pioneer/data-scientist on the CRM-topic for an international bank. Dear Peter is furthermore an ambitious co-founder of our community, the Vienna Data Science Group!
Title: A workflow + setup for interactive investigation of security events
Description: The detection of novel, yet unknown attacks and intrusions is one of the core challenges in a global internet connected world. A recording of security events produces huge amounts of data, which then can/must be mined for the one critical event of a successful system intrusion. Martin Pirker will give us a short introduction of the setup and the workflow they employed to rapidly test and integrate new ideas on the data.
Duration: about 20-30min
Powered by: Martin Pirker has earned his PHD at the Graz University of Technology. He is currently teaching and researching at the Josef Ressel Center for Unified Threat Intelligence on Targeted Attacks, St. Polten University of Applied Sciences.
